So, recently I’ve found a pile of fake domains that are all linked to a blogger.com profile for “Mort Walker” I’m guessing this is a fake name.

The basic setup is to roll out a pile of heavily optimized websites with a virtual phone number. When you call the number it rings to a local company that provides the service you’re requesting. Once he has really good placement, it’s assumed they will reach out to offer to sell the blog to your client.

Watch out for Mort Walker, obvious scammer.

Recently, one of my clients reached out to say there is a new towing company near them; when you dial this companies number, it is forwarded to my client.

http://eastlansingtowingservice.blogspot.com/ Is running a squatting scam, they launched several sites around michigan. All have the same images and content, just a different virtual number that is local to the market they are communicating with.

So, if you are looking for towing in East Lansing avoid eastlansingtowingservice.blogspot.com

As far as I can find, since it’s a blogger blog, the name associated is Mort Walker.
