The consumers energy website is such a joke, if you want to make a one-time credit card payment, you have to enroll that card in auto-pay, wait for their system to take the payment, then remove the card.
Why can’t you just make it easy to pay my bill? Why do you screw your customers and charge convenience fees for services that are inconvenient?
